COURSE & CORE COMPETENCIES: COMPARATIVE ECONOMIC SYSTEMS             ECON 3305

A survey of historical and contemporary methods of organizing a society’s economic activity. The basic nature and ideology of capitalism and socialism are examined through case studies. Special attention is given to the current US, Soviet, Chinese and Japanese economies.

If you successfully complete this course you will be able to demonstrate an increasing level of competency in each of the following:
